Happy Birthday T-Bone

Where did seven years go???

You are so grown up. You love to play with your friends (you really love social settings) and you love school. you are very considerate of others feelings and try to include everyone around you. You are a master builder with legos and Knex and you can climb all the way to the top of a tree. You played football this year and can run really fast! One of our favorite things is that you love to sing. Every night while your going to sleep we hear you upstairs singing hymns (Our Fathers World, There is a Redeemer, We Gather Together).

You are very concerned about following the rules and get upset when one of us does something that might be against "the rules" (i.e. you get upset when Jasper unbuckles in the neighborhood).

We love you Tripp!!!!!!!

Tripp's (and Jasper's) Birthday party

We had Tripp's (friend) party last weekend. The weather was so nice so we had it at the park. Tripp wanted a Lego cake and I felt sure that I could construct one for him. How hard could it be?

I am not a baker nor do I ever want to be. Did you know that icing WILL NOT stick once you cut a cake up into little Lego bricks?

Anyway...here's the finished product and for what it's worth Tripp thought it was the coolest cake EVER!

The kids turned our "Big Jump" into a cage fighting ring. It was so funny. They went in in pairs and the winner challenged a new opponent. They really got into it!

Double Birthday Party

The boys Birthdays are so close (Nov 8th and 28th) that it's hard to juggle the parties. We had their joint family party this past Sunday. We served the worlds best chocolate cake from a restaurant nearby. It was going very smoothly until...

Tripp blew out more candles than Jasper.

We re lit them for him and all was well.

Zoee's Boots

Zoee has been trying to wear Tripps old boots for so long. The day has finally come!!

Zoee wore his (correction HER) boots to church on Sunday. I thought she looked so cute!

She has a new obsession with silly bands. She always has an arm full of them! She even wears them to bed most nights.

Happy Halloween (better late than never)

We had such a busy month in October that I neglected my blog for several weeks. Here are our Halloween pictures.

Notice the different organization styles in their candy. Tripp dumped his out into a big pile and Jasper lined his candy up in rows. Bill and I thought it was so funny!

these last pictures are from our small group halloween party at Jeremy and Karrie's house. WOW!!! They did such a great job putting it together. They had a hay ride, bon-fire, homemade hot chocolate and homemade MARSHMALLOWS (YUM!!!!). They also cut a big maze in the hay field and we ran through it with flashlights. I really didn't see T-Bone and Jasper the whole time we were there so the pictures are of Zoee.

This has been the first year that you really understood the idea of having a Birthday. We hung all your cards up on the pantry door and you have showed them to everyone. You said that now that you are 4 you can't drink out of a sippy cup anymore and you can run super fast!

Favorite food: mac-n-cheese or Moe's

Favorite song: You always ask to listen to Texas songs (aka: Alabama)

Favorite things: legos, scooby doo, loony tunes, and Popeye

You love to play outside with Tripp and all of your friends.

We love you Jasper. You look just like your daddy and act a lot like your mommy.

We were talking about when Tripp was a baby yesterday and I said to Jasper that he was still in heaven then waiting to be born. He replied, "No, I was in Texas."

What to do with my extra hour...

I suppose I'll update my neglected blog. It's 5:30 in the morning but my clock says 6:30. I am thinking that maybe this year I won't change my clocks back until I actually need the extra hour. I might be on time everywhere we go!

I can't believe that October is already over! It went by so quickly.

Tripp finished playing football and had his awards night. He got a trophy and is sooo proud of it. We also had our first parent/teacher conference at school. His teacher said that he is so creative and really thinks outside the box. She also said that he is very kind to everyone in class and looks out for others around him. Now for the not so good....he's a MESS!!!!!! Crayons on the floor, can't find his ruler papers shoved in his desk. That was no news to me! He is just one of those super creative souls that has no regard for organization. Being too neat would dampen his creativity I guess?????

Jasper has really started to enjoy spending time with some of the younger siblings from Tripp's class. This is the first time he has actually played with kids his own age. He prefers to play with Tripp's friends and luckily they are so sweet to him.

Zoee has hit an all new level of DANGEROUS!!!!!!! Saying that she is in to everything is a huge understatement! She is like 10 toddlers all together!!! She can climb on top of our high bed now and loves to jump. She has also started expressing herself more. If she gets mad at anyone she calls them names!!!! She can be heard screaming meanie or baby a lot of the day. It has been funny to see the things she picks up from her brothers.

We had a great time in St. Simons a couple of weeks ago. It was so hot. The boys swan in the ocean! Here are some pictures from out trip.
